About

Hello my beloved readers,

my name is Imko and I’m a PhD student in economics at Anglia Ruskin University. The focus of my research is the role of eclecticism and pluralism in economics. I use this blog once in a while to write about things I’m interested in, both privately and professionally. I used to write in German but I switched to English so I can have a broader audience and because some people complained about my bad German grammar… bet the situations is not different in English though.

A bit on my background: Between 2006 and 2010, I did my undergrad in business and economics at Carl-von-Ossietzky University Oldenburg, Germany. In my bachelor thesis I examined Islamic business ethics but kinda screw it up because I had no proper training in academic writing. After that I decided to leave Germany for various reasons and ended up in Auckland, New Zealand. Between Jan 2011 and Dec 2012, I studied economics at Auckland University of Technology at a postgraduate level. My lovely thesis discussed a post-structural concept in institutional economics and this time I did quite well. I returned to Europe and won a PhD scholarship in Cambridge, but not at Cambridge.

Die Angaben zu deiner Person sind total irreführend, weil schlicht unaktuell. *tststs
